Napa Valley College Safe Space Training Program

Our Safe Space Program Training Program is based on two nationally recognized models including the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN) and National Youth Advocacy Coalition programs with supporting content from Kognito. The foundation of our program is a comprehensive training for allies who include Napa Valley College teachers, support staff, administrators, and students. This course is available to all Napa Valley College students and staff. It contains four learning modules containing videos, interactive computer simulation activities, reading assignments, and links to websites containing supporting material. You can complete the course at your own pace as time allows. Most participants report spending about 3 hours from start to finish. To receive a certificate, you must complete the work for each learning module and pass the course quiz with a score of at least 80%. To get started, click on the appropriate link below. If you have questions about this course or need help getting started, please email Greg Miraglia at gmiraglia@napavalley.edu or call 707-256-7710.
