Ancillary Biological Safety Training

Training for individuals whose job may cause them to enter or be in proximity of areas containing biohazardous agents, but who do not personally handle these agents. The objectives of this training are to allow ancillary personnel to: -Define the word “biohazard” -Identify the common routes of exposure to biohazardous materials -Recognize biohazard use areas -Specify where biohazard use areas are on campus -Describe procedures for entering and working in biohazard areas -Describe the rules for maintaining equipment used with biohazards -Describe emergency response procedures
